New
Browse vehicle details before you sign in
You no longer need an account to see what a vehicle is. Open a public listing signed out and you'll see year, make, model, trim, body style, color, mileage, engine, transmission, drivetrain, VIN, photos, and the condition and damage description the seller published.
Public listings also show the bidding picture: current winning bid, starting price, minimum bid, whether the reserve has been met, and the current bidding status.
A few things worth knowing:
Private listings are unchanged. A signed-out visitor sees the same limited view as before.
Bidding still requires an account. Place bid and Set max bid send you to sign-up.
Bid history, bid counts, and bidder identities stay hidden until you sign in.
Nothing changes for signed-in buyers.
This works the same in the auctions grid, the list view, favorites, and the vehicle detail page, on mobile and desktop.
Land back on the listing you came from
Signing in from a listing used to drop you on the default landing page, so you had to find the vehicle again. Now you land back on the listing you started from.
Sign-up works the same way. The listing survives onboarding, so once you finish the last step you land on that vehicle instead of the home page.
Two things worth knowing:
This applies to email and password sign-in and to magic links.
Only a page on Autura Marketplace is accepted as a return point, and it's used once. Anything else sends you to the usual landing page.
Decide for yourself when to move to the next vehicle
When the sale ends on a vehicle you're watching, a banner appears in the bidding card. It tells you the outcome, then counts down before moving you to the next vehicle in the auction, so you stop missing opening bids while you find your way there.
Select Next vehicle to go straight away, or Stay here to hold your place and finish checking your invoice, the photos, or the pickup details.
Three things worth knowing:
Doing nothing moves you on when the countdown ends.
The next vehicle comes from the list you were already browsing, with your filters and sort intact, and vehicles whose sale has already ended are skipped.
Your browser's Back button still takes you to the previous vehicle.
Improved
Live updates hold up in long browsing sessions
A tab left open through a lot of browsing could quietly stop receiving live updates on auctions opened later in the session. When that happened, rival bids didn't appear, a soft-close extension on your own bid didn't register, and the countdown could run out on the original deadline while bidding was still going. Reconnect on the "Live updates disconnected" banner didn't help, and only a full page reload fixed it.
Auctions you navigate away from now release their live connection, so a long session no longer runs out of room, and Reconnect recovers properly if a connection is ever refused.
