Team Members & Account Access

Autura Marketplace lets you bring additional people onto your account and is most often used by more business buyers or sellers who run transaction processes through more than one person, or who want oversight without giving everyone full authority.

Before You Start

You must be a Manager on your account to add or remove other users. If you are not a Manager, the Users area of Settings is read-only. You will also need each invitee's email address. Each invitee accepts the invite from their own email and creates their own login credentials.

NOTE

Managers and Viewers act on behalf of the same account. All actions placed by Managers, all checkouts, and all gate codes generated are tied to the account, not to the individual user.

Step 1 — Open the Users Settings

1. Sign in to Autura Marketplace as a Manager.

2. Select the settings gear icon in the top right of the screen.

3. Select Users from the left navigation.

4. You will see the Users list with Name, Role, Phone number, Email address, and Last login columns. From here you can select a user to deactivate, or select Add user to invite someone new.

Settings → Users. The Add user and Deactivate user actions sit in the top right of the panel. Select a user row to enable Deactivate user.

Step 2 — Add a User (Send Invite)

1. On the Users page, select Add user (top right of the panel).

2. In the Add user modal, enter the invitee's email address.

3. Choose the role: MANAGER (full action and account authority) or VIEWER (read-only access).

4. Optional: check Add another user if you want to invite multiple people in the same sitting — the modal will stay open after each invite.

5. Select Send invite. The invitee receives an email with a link to accept and set up their own login.

Add user modal. Email address is required; choose Role from the dropdown. Send invite triggers the email.

WATCH OUT

Every Manager you add has full listing or bidding authority on the account. Bids they place are binding and chargeable to the account. Use the Viewer role for anyone who needs visibility without spending authority.

Step 3 — What the Invitee Experiences

6. The invitee receives an email titled "You've been added to an account!" from Autura Marketplace. The email names the person who invited them, the role they were assigned (MANAGER or VIEWER), and the account they were added to.

7. They select Accept Invite, follow the link, create their own password, and verify their email and phone the same way any new user does (see Getting Started as a Buyer).

8. Once verified, they appear as Active on your Users list and can sign in with their own credentials.

Step 4 — Deactivate a User

1. On the Users page, select the checkbox next to the user you want to remove.

2. Select Deactivate user (top right of the panel) and confirm the action.

3. The user can no longer sign in. Any purchases they made remain on the account. Receipts and reports they downloaded are unaffected.

WATCH OUT

Deactivate is only available for active users today. A user who is still in invite-pending status (invite sent, not yet accepted) cannot be deactivated from the Users list. If you need to revoke a pending invite, contact Autura support — we will cancel the invite on your behalf while we work with Product to add self-service control.

WATCH OUT

If you deactivate the only active Manager on your account, no one will be able to add users, place bids, or check out until access is restored. Contact Autura support if you need help recovering access — we have a process for transferring account ownership when the only Manager has left the organization.

Best Practices for Multi-User Accounts

• At least two Managers per account. A single point of failure on access is easy to avoid by having a second Manager.

• Use Viewer for stakeholders who need to follow the account but should not place bids, list vehicles, or change account settings. Finance, executive sponsors, and lien holders are common Viewers.

• Review your Users list quarterly. Deactivate anyone who has left the team or no longer needs access.

• Manage gate codes carefully. The gate code on a won vehicle is the credential to pick it up. Anyone with the code can collect the vehicle at the seller location — share intentionally.
