Before Your First Sale
To receive payment when a vehicle sells, you need to complete a one-time identity verification through our payment provider. This is part of the seller setup process described in Getting Started as a Seller.
If you have not completed this step, you can still list and sell vehicles — but payouts will be held until verification is done.
You will be prompted to complete verification when you log in.
How Autura Verified Payments (AVP) Works
Every sale on Autura Marketplace goes through Autura Verified Payments (AVP). Here is what that means for you as a seller:
What Happens | When It Happens |
Buyer wins the auction | Auction closes |
Buyer completes full payment online | Within 24 hours of winning (default window) |
Funds held securely | Until vehicle is released |
Buyer receives gate code | Immediately after payment clears |
Seller releases vehicle using gate code | At pickup |
Payout initiated to your bank account | After you confirm vehicle pickup |
NOTE You do not need to collect any payment from the buyer at pickup. The full balance is secured online before the buyer arrives. |
Receiving Your Payout
1. When the buyer arrives, they will give you a gate code.
2. Go to the sold vehicle in your Selling tab and select Release Vehicle.
3. Enter the gate code. The system validates it.
4. Confirm the release. The vehicle is marked as picked up.
5. Your payout is initiated within 72 hours post-sale. You will receive an email confirmation with the payout breakdown.
Your payout amount is calculated as:
Winning bid amount
Plus any seller-specific fees
Minus Autura platform fees
Minus applicable taxes
Equals your net payout
NOTE Payouts are sent to your linked bank account. Contact support if you have questions about your payout timing. |
What to Do If a Buyer Does Not Pay
Autura Marketplace achieves a 94% payment success rate via AVP. In the event a buyer does not complete payment:
6. The buyer will receive automated reminders as their payment deadline approaches.
7. If the payment window expires without payment, the buyer's deposit is forfeited automatically.
8. You will be notified. The vehicle becomes available for relisting.
9. Contact Autura support if you need assistance relisting or have questions about the transaction.
NOTE You do not need to chase the buyer or take any action. Autura handles payment follow-up automatically. |
Downloading Your Receipt
