Winning and Paying

This guide covers what happens after you win, the 3-step checkout, the payment window, applying Buying Power, payment methods, and what to do if a payment fails.

Before You Start

You need:

• A completed Autura Marketplace account with AVP enrolled

• A valid payment method on file

• Your buying power balance available if you funded Buying Power (it will appear automatically at checkout)

When You Win

When an auction closes and you are the high bid, you win. You will receive a notification and an email with a link to checkout. The payment window starts at the moment the auction closes.

NOTE

Autura Verified Payments is powered by Stripe, the same payment infrastructure used by Amazon, Shopify, Lyft, and millions of other businesses. Payments are processed through Stripe and you stay in control of your payment methods from inside your account.

The Payment Window

Winners have 24 hours to pay in full and receive their gate code, penalty-free. After that, you still have an additional 24 hours to pay, but a per-vehicle Remediation Fee is added. Miss the full 48 hours and the win is forfeited and your account is automatically banned from bidding.

Window

What Happens

Hours 0 to 24

Pay in full to receive your gate code with no extra fees. This is the standard penalty-free window.

Hours 24 to 48

Payment still accepted, but a per-vehicle Remediation Fee is added to your total. The fee shows on your receipt as a Remediation Fee.

After 48 hours

The win is forfeited and the vehicle returns to the seller. Your account is automatically banned from bidding, your account goes into review, and your Buying Power deposit (if you funded one) is forfeited.

WATCH OUT

The 24-hour penalty-free window is firm — there are no exceptions. Repeated misses affect your account standing and your access on the platform. The 48-hour total clock is the most common stumble for new buyers. Plan to pay inside the first 24 hours whenever possible.

Step 1 — Start Checkout

1. Select My Autura from the top navigation. My Autura is your Buying view — it shows the vehicles you are bidding on and have won.

2. Filter to Won to see vehicles you have won that are awaiting payment.

3. Select Checkout in the top right (or from the green banner across the top of the page).

4. You will see the Summary screen, which is Step 1 of a 3-step checkout flow.

My Autura Buying view, Won filter selected. Select Checkout to start the 3-step checkout flow.

NOTE

A green banner with a countdown appears across the top of the platform once you have a winning vehicle awaiting payment. You can start checkout directly from this banner from any page.

Win countdown banner — visible across pages once you have a vehicle awaiting payment.

Step 2 — Review the Summary

The Summary screen shows all vehicles included in this checkout. If you won multiple vehicles, they are grouped into a single checkout with one total.

Checkout Step 1 — Summary. Each Vehicles Won card shows your winning bid and a countdown to the payment deadline.

5. Review each vehicle card: thumbnail, title, VIN, winning bid, hours remaining.

6. Select Show breakdown in the dark Summary bar to see the itemized total: bid amount, vehicle and seller fees, platform fees, sales tax, and any documentation or storage fees.

Tap Show breakdown to expand the itemized total. The breakdown groups by Bids, Vehicle, Fees, and Platform Fee.

7. Confirm the total due.

8. Select Proceed to checkout to move to the Payment step.

NOTE

When you win vehicles from multiple sellers, you see one unified balance and pay one charge. Behind the scenes, Autura distributes funds to each seller.

Step 3 — Complete Payment

Checkout Step 2 — Payment. Choose a saved card or enter a new one. Card payments add a 3% processing fee.

9. On the Payment screen, choose between Saved methods (your default card on file) or Card to enter a new card.

10. If you have Buying Power available, it appears as a credit you can apply toward the total. Applied Buying Power reduces the amount charged to your payment method.

11. Review the processing fee indicator if you are paying by card. ACH payments do not incur processing fees.

12. Select Confirm & Pay to submit your payment.

NOTE

Card payments add a 3% processing fee and release your gate code immediately once payment is submitted. ACH payments have no processing fee, but take 3 to 5 business days to clear, and your gate code releases only after the payment fully clears. ACH access is enabled per account; if you do not see ACH, contact your Buyer Account Manager.

SUCCESS

Payment submitted. Your order is marked as paid.

Step 4 — Pickup Instructions

After your payment clears, Step 3 of checkout displays your pickup instructions:

Checkout Step 3 — Pick-up instructions. Your unique gate code, payment status, and a Download receipt action all appear once payment is processed.

• Seller pickup address along with a "Call ahead to schedule pickup" reminder

• List of paid vehicles, expandable to show VINs and other details

• A unique gate code displayed prominently in the upper right of the location card

• Payment status (amount paid, date, reference ID, expected timing for ACH clearing if applicable)

• A Download receipt action that produces a PDF receipt with full sale details, fees, payment method, and the as-is disclaimer

WATCH OUT

Pickup instructions and procedures vary seller to seller. Yard hours, entry procedures, ID requirements, loading services, and storage cut-offs are different at every seller location. Read the seller-specific pickup instructions on this screen and in the listing's Disclosures section carefully before you arrive — what works at one seller may not work at the next.

NOTE

The gate code is what you provide to the seller at pickup. They use it to release the vehicle. See Pickup and After the Sale for the full pickup flow.

NOTE

After payment is processed, use the top navigation to return to Auctions (to keep browsing) or My Autura (to see your won vehicles and download receipts at any time). The Pick-up instructions screen also remains available — you can come back to it from My Autura.

SUCCESS

Checkout complete. Your gate code and receipt are available whenever you need them.

If Your Payment Fails

Most payments clear successfully on the first attempt. If yours does not, the platform notifies you with the reason. Common causes:

• Insufficient funds. Use a different card or top up your account.

• Card declined. Contact your bank or try another card.

• Expired card. Update your card information and retry.

• Incorrect CVV. Re-enter and try again.

• Bank-side verification holds. These usually clear within a day or two.

For ACH payments, failures may take 1 to 3 business days to surface (the standard ACH return window). If your ACH fails, the platform notifies you with a description of what happened and what to do next. Most ACH failures resolve by paying with a card instead.

If you are unsure why your payment failed, or if the platform message is not clear, contact your Buyer Account Manager or Autura support. We have access to the underlying failure detail and can help you find the fastest path to a successful payment.

WATCH OUT

If your payment fails and you are running out of time in the 48-hour window, switch to a card to release your gate code immediately. Contact your Buyer Account Manager or Autura support inside the window if you need help. Past 48 hours, options are narrower.

Multiple Vehicles in Progress

If you have won multiple vehicles and submitted payment for some but not all:

• Paid vehicles move to your Picked Up flow and are removed from the active checkout summary.

• Vehicles still awaiting payment continue to appear with their own countdown timers.

• A banner reminds you of unpaid vehicles. Select it to return to checkout for the remaining vehicles.

Receipts and Records

After payment clears, you can:

• Download a PDF receipt from the pickup instructions screen, the Won section in My Autura, or the Vehicle Detail Page.

• View transaction history in your Wallet (Settings → Wallet → Transaction History).

• Export receipts for tax or accounting purposes.

What to Do Next

• See Pickup and After the Sale for the gate code flow, VIN verification, condition discrepancy claims, and title handling.

• See Buying Power & Deposits if you want to fund additional Buying Power for future auctions.
