Where is my Buying Power refund?

How long Buying Power refunds take, why the amount may differ from what you deposited, and what to do if yours has not arrived.

If you had a Buying Power balance on your Autura Marketplace account, it was refunded when the deposit requirement was turned off. This article covers when to expect it, why the amount may not match what you put in, and what to do if you have not seen it.

How long it takes

Refunds go back to the card or bank account used to fund the deposit. Once processed, they typically appear within 1 to 3 business days. The exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer, not on Autura.

How to check your refund in Marketplace

Click the settings cog at the top right, then select Wallet. Transaction History lists every Buying Power purchase, application, and refund on your account, with dates and amounts. If a refund was issued, you will see it here even if it has not posted to your statement yet.

Why my refund is smaller than what I deposited

Buying Power deposits funded by credit card included a card processing fee at the time of purchase. Refunds are issued less applicable credit card processing fees, as set out in the Deposit Terms accepted when the deposit was funded.

Deposits funded by ACH did not carry a processing fee and are returned in full.

Why I do not see a refund at all

The most common reason is that there was no open balance to return. If your Buying Power was previously applied toward a vehicle purchase or forfeited, those funds are not part of this refund. Transaction History will show what happened to the balance and when.

It has been more than 3 business days

Start a chat with us from inside Marketplace, or email [email protected]. To get you an answer in one reply, include:

  • The email address on your Marketplace account

  • Roughly when you funded the deposit

  • The amount you are expecting

  • The last 4 digits of the card you used, if you funded by card

We will check the refund status on your account and follow up.

Do I need a deposit to keep bidding?

No. Buying Power is no longer required to place a bid. You still need a completed account and a payment method on file through Autura Verified Payments. See Buying Power is no longer required to bid.
